Rising Behavioral Healthcare Company completes California Acquisition

Summit Behavioral Healthcare acquires Valley Recovery Center of California - Addiction treatment and chemical dependency services in California, Texas and Louisiana(Atlanta, GA) — Summit Behavioral Healthcare (Summit) today announced the acquisition of Focus Healthcare of California (Focus) located in Sacramento, CA. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. This transaction marks the first acquisition of Summit in the Western Region.

Focus, a 48-bed residential treatment facility located in Sacramento, CA, is a freestanding addictions treatment center serving adults. Under Summit ownership, Focus will now be known as Valley Recovery Center of California (Valley). Valley will look to continue the delivery of high quality client focused treatment services while ensuring that all services meet the needs of our clients, the community and our referral partners.

While this is the first acquisition for Summit, the Company opened a 32-bed intensive residential treatment center, Great Oaks Recovery Center, earlier this year in the greater Houston, TX market.
