Franklin, Tenn. – April 17, 2023– Summit BHC (Summit), a leading national provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services based in Franklin, Tennessee, has named Paul Gilbert as Chief Legal Officer.

Mr. Gilbert joins Summit after serving as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, and Secretary of Rite Aid, where he led the company’s legal, compliance, ESG, government affairs, ERM, internal audit, and privacy functions. Previously, Paul was a partner at Epstein Becker & Green, and served as LifePoint Health’s Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer for eleven years. At LifePoint, Paul also served as Chief Development Officer.

Mr. Gilbert is a graduate of Wake Forest University and Vanderbilt School of Law. While in private practice, he was selected for The Best Lawyers in America (Healthcare Law and Mergers & Acquisitions), and listed in Chambers USA (Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions). He is a Fellow of the Nashville Health Care Council.
