Chief Executive Officer
Brent Turner is the Chief Executive Officer of Summit BHC. Mr. Turner has more than 18 years of executive healthcare experience, including eight years as President of Acadia Healthcare, where he led the expansion of Acadia from six to almost 600 facilities. He spent seven years at Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. as the Executive Vice President of Finance and Administration. During his time with Psychiatric Solutions, the company grew to 95 facilities.
Chief Operating Officer
Dwight Lacy is Chief Operating Officer for Summit BHC. Dwight joins Summit most recently from Acadia Healthcare where he was a Group President overseeing the operations of 40 facilities, primarily in the western & southwestern United States as well as Missouri, North Dakota, Tennessee & Wisconsin. Prior to that, Dwight was a Regional Vice President with Universal Health Services (UHS). Mr. Lacy has 20 years of executive level leadership responsibilities in both for-profit and non-profit settings that includes senior executive level leadership, hospital management, finance and accounting management and oversight of human resources management along with consultation services.
Chief Financial Officer
Todd Wyatt is the Chief Financial Officer for Summit BHC. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Conifer Health Solutions. Prior to that, Mr. Wyatt spent 14 years with Acelity, a medical technology firm, in a variety of financial leadership roles, including CFO and SVP of Business Transformation. In addition to serving as CFO, he led information technology, enterprise project management, performance management, and played a pivotal role in corporate strategy.
Transformation & Growth
Jeff Barnett oversees Transformation and Growth (TAG) initiatives for Summit BHC. Mr. Barnett most recently served as COO of Summit from 2014 to early 2022. Mr. Barnett was formerly a Division President for Acadia Healthcare, with experience overseeing facilities in 8 states. Prior to joining Acadia, he held facility CEO positions for Universal Health Services and Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. Mr. Barnett has over 20 years in the behavioral healthcare industry, including various administrative and clinical roles in private practice, outpatient services and inpatient services.
Chief Development Officer
Andy Hanner is the Chief Development Officer of Summit BHC. He most recently served as Chief Strategy Officer at Acadia Healthcare where he spearheaded the development of multiple joint venture partnerships. Additionally, he developed multiple de novo inpatient psychiatric hospitals and behavioral health treatment facilities and was active with both single facility and multi-facility acquisitions. Andy has more than 30 years of behavioral healthcare experience, with leadership roles across clinical, operational, strategy and development.
Executive Vice President of Business Development
Daniel Krasner is the Executive Vice President of Business Development for Summit BHC. Mr. Krasner has over a decade of experience in business development, strategic marketing and leadership in the behavioral healthcare industry. Prior to joining Summit, Mr. Krasner served as the National Business Development Manager for The Ranch at Dove Tree, a nationally recognized addiction treatment program.
Executive Vice President of Financial Operations
Jason Langley is Executive Vice President of Financial Operations for Summit BHC. Jason most recently served as Division CFO at Acadia, a position he earned after an extremely successful turnaround at Delta Medical Center. He has extensive experience in financial operations, with a proven track record of success. Jason possesses the technical expertise, operational vigor, intensity and perseverance needed to drive performance and our future success.
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Kim Brady is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Summit BHC. Ms. Brady has more than 23 years of behavioral healthcare experience. Prior to joining Summit, Ms. Brady was the Chief Human Resources Officer for Acadia Healthcare where she oversaw the human resources and payroll functions. She was with Psychiatric Solutions prior to joining Acadia in 2011.
Senior Vice President of Quality & Compliance
Brian Brooker is Senior Vice President of Quality & Compliance for Summit BHC. Brian brings a wealth of educational knowledge and experience to Summit. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Incarnate Word University, Master’s degree from Columbia Southern University in Healthcare Administration and a Doctoral Degree from Nova Southeastern doing his Dissertation on Cultural Competency in Healthcare. Brian is Board Certified in Psychiatry and Mental Health, Executive Administration, Anger Resolution and Healthcare Accreditation. Most recently Brian served as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Services for Signature Healthcare Services.
Senior Vice President of Strategy & Managed Care
Clay Phillips is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Managed Care for Summit BHC. Mr. Phillips comes to Summit after 15 years at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, where he most recently served as Vice President of Network Innovation. He led the company’s strategic development in value-based contracting initiatives as well as quality performance programs. He and his team also implemented new models of care delivery and alternative payment programs.
During his time at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, Phillips served as Associate General Counsel, Director of Government Relations, and Director of Provider Relations and Communications. Prior to joining Blue Cross, Phillips was an attorney with Miller & Martin, PLLC, where his practice focused on health care law, insurance regulation, and government relations.
Vice President of Information Technology
Russ Haskett is Vice President of Information Technology for Summit BHC. Russ Haskett has worked in the healthcare IT industry for more than 20 years in technical, as well as senior, leadership roles. Prior to joining Summit, he worked for Universal Health Services, a Fortune 500 company. His duties at UHS included strategic and operational oversight of IT support for the company’s 200 behavioral hospitals as well as the organization’s enterprise IBM infrastructure. Russ volunteers in various community activities most notably having served in mentorship roles with the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home, The Nashville Tech Council’s Veteran Mentorship Program and as a technical advisor with Mercy Community Health.
Vice President of Admissions
Caleb Rich is the Vice President of Admissions for Summit BHC. Mr. Rich has over 15 years of experience in sales leadership, coaching and development. He is passionate about providing great customer experiences to our clients and their families. Prior to joining Summit, he led behavioral healthcare admissions departments at Foundations Recovery Network and UHS.
Vice President of Digital Strategies
Max Spiegel is Vice President of Digital Strategies for Summit BHC and brings more than 20 years experience on all levels of digital marketing through positions in multiple industries. Prior to joining the team, Max served in the role of Director of Marketing and Technology for St. Joseph Institute since 2013. In addition to developing and maintaining St. Joseph Institute’s online presence, he was responsible for all facility branding, media, and marketing strategies and initiatives.
Division Vice President
Rob Norris is Vice President of the Eastern Division of Summit BHC. Mr. Norris was formerly Group CEO for Acadia Healthcare. Mr. Norris also served as executive director of Clearbrook Lodge, and director of utilization review at Clearbrook Treatment Centers. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University. Mr. Norris has always focused on client-centered care. Patients first!
Division Vice President
Rob Turner is Vice President of the Western Division of Summit BHC. He began his career as a mental health technician at a residential facility for adolescents and has worked in all levels of care including hospitals, behavioral health residential treatment centers, day treatment and other outpatient programs as well as private practice settings. Since 2002, Mr. Turner served as a Chief Executive Officer in acute psychiatric hospitals beginning in Alabama, North Carolina, and Nevada. More recently, he served in multi-facility roles as a Group CEO and later as a Division President for Acadia Healthcare.
Division Vice President
Eric Kennedy is the Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region of Summit BHC. Mr. Kennedy brings more than 25 years of progressive experience to Summit BHC. He most recently served as a Group CEO in the Boston market for UHS. Prior to that he served as a Group CEO in Louisiana for Acadia. Mr. Kennedy’s intricate knowledge of operations will serve Summit well in safeguarding the processes, structure, accountability, and quality of care that we expect in all our facilities.
